ARO requires a user account in HSConnect and completion of specific training animal research-related courses offered by CITI. If you do not have an account in HSConnect, create one by following this link. If you are unsure, call (412) 648-2222 for assistance, DO NOT create a new account.
The CITI training courses Responsible Conduct of Research and Working with Large Animals and/or Working with Small Animals courses must be completed within the last four years before an account is available for logging in to ARO.
To log in to ARO, go to http://www.aro.pitt.edu and log in using your HSConnect account. If you are not able to log in, first check to make sure that you have satisfied the training requirements.
If you are unsure about your training module status, log in to HSConnect at www.hsconnect.pitt.edu where you can search for your training history.
